Paypal - Currys SE - Curry98 - 09-24-2020 Planning to SE on a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G, totaling to 950 pounds from Currys via paypal, will be using the "items missing method/empty box" Just thinking ahead as this is the second time I'm SE'ing, I'm under the assumption that PayPal will ask for a police report and I simply submit one and the refund should go through. Are there any other scenarios that could arise from this situation? Grateful for any answers thanks. FYI, I have 6 year aged paypal acc with quite a few orders, this will be my first refund through PP. edit: I have been notified that there will be no signature but a picture of it being delivered on my doorway, does this change anything? I assume it doesn't, as my point is that I personally did not receive the item/box was empty RE: Paypal - Currys SE - SE.UK - 09-24-2020 You're correct, Currys using DPD so won't ask for signature but will take a photo. Plan for empty box, will be dependant on weight of the item - phones are quite heavy so may run into issues if they cross check manifest etc. Think of using a method such as dummy phone found in the box. Dummies can be found on eBay, you can decide to buy a dummy or just send them a picture along with your claim. Can you please expand on the dummy method? Just say significantly not as described and that you received the wrong phone. That way you won't need to deal with a police report. RE: Paypal - Currys SE - Curry98 - 09-24-2020 Police report is simply a part of protocol from what I understand, and they don't really do anything. I'd also hoped the police report would escalate the refund with PP in a faster manner. But if there are alternatives with a high success rate, I may as well pursue them since im very new. If I say I received the wrong phone, wouldn't I have to return it? or just add a product that weighs the same. Again, I just want the method with the highest success ratio. RE: Paypal - Currys SE - Curry98 - 09-25-2020 I see, when I say the item is not as described, do I simply put in a similar electronic with a similar weight? And wouldnt that mean opening the package and resealing it delicately? RE: Paypal - Currys SE - Curry98 - 09-25-2020 Weight of the item is a 192 grams. RE: Paypal - Currys SE - Curry98 - 09-25-2020 Furthermore, Id like to add to make this even more interesting, a friend of mine is attempting to SE an iphone and airpods but received 2 airpods today instead.. it makes you think are they really cross checking items right now at currys? |
