Amazon Automate Chat Refund (UK) - suarez97 - 08-07-2020

Hi All

Recently I had a pair of AirPod Pro’s delivered and it turns out I just recieved an ‘empty box’ Wink

So I used the automated amazon chat on the app and said that I never recieved it and instantly they offered me a replacement or a refund. I selected refund but I havnt got any email / text confirmations. Does anyone know if it actually does work? Because that seems way too easy...

I just thought maybe because it was automated they may check it. Still not going to use them though until I see the money back in my account

Glad to read that.

Generally yes it is that easy for lower value items if you do it through the chat bot. So far I have only done under £200 from the bot so it is good to see that items slightly over £200 are also possible.

You should receive an email confirmation. Typically these are received hours after the SE but it can take longer.

I will ask you the same as mothered. How long has it been since the chat?

Have done an item worth 280 instant refund .

Apologies you are right haha. I did the refund in chat around 7:30am on Thursday. No email confirmation yet so I’m reluctant to use the AirPods until I get one

It's only been two days, so there's no cause to be concerned. If you don't hear anything In the next couple of days, contact them with a friendly reminder.

AirPods themselves, cannot be blacklisted, but they may be detected when connected to a device that can be viewed remotely. As you've said, It's good to play It safe and use them after you've received the refund.
