My apologies for hijacking the other thread, I guess I'll just copy and paste my OG comment here.
"Sweet, about to buy a gaming laptop myself from Amazon. So DNA or leaking battery is the way to go? Hope I can ask a couple of questions.
Would chat or call be best? How long should one wait to report it as DNA? Can one turn on the unit as soon as you get it, or should you wait for the refund/replacement to go thru? Should I order the accessory I want separately or fk it and do it together?

Hello and welcome.
One thing if I may add based on my recent experience. I ordered an item that I planned to SE, separately from that on the previous day I ordered another item which I did not mean to SE. It so happened without me planning it that the two packages arrived at the same time. The driver simply left the boxes in front of my door without knocking or ringing the bell (I watched him do this from my window, though he could not see me). I was worried what they might say about how come only one parcel is missing. They never said anything regarding this so my DNA went smooth. I only SEd the item I was planning originally to do.
I hope this helps you with ordering two items as long as they come in separate boxes. If you want to make sure they will arrive in separate boxes order your laptop and wait for the dispatch confirmation email from amazon then order the backpack. Assuming you have Prime and they are eligible for next day delivery there are very high chances you will receive both at the same time in separate boxes.

As long as you're well prepared with the SE and the delivery, the shipping time won't have an Impact on your SE.

Sure, If the Item Is only a few dollars (or very low value), the manpower to Investigate outweighs the cost of the Item, so they'll simply approve the claim.
