Amazon SE smartphone battery leak - Raccoon - 07-21-2020

Hello, today i proceeded to SE a Samsung Galaxy A70 of the value of 245 euros on Amazon, i told to the chat agent about how my little son got sick because he tasted the leaked battery and had to got him to an hospital, and how I gave away the battery and smartphone to a friend of mine who is a mechanic to dispose it, but he refused to help me any further, because he told me i need to provide: pics of the product, medical report and a receipt of the disposal granted by the center I contacted.

amazon has sent me an email telling me to provide them this documents, what you suggest me to do?

That was kind of a stretch reason to use really, in my opinion u should've opted for a more logical explanation, either way

If u do in fact have the phone u can fake a battery leak with olive oil and make pictures that way.

Say you retrieved it from the trash or something
Or give up and refund the item by magically finding it and wanting a refund.
Good luck o7

You really turned the knife in the wound, and you went all in lmao.

That type of even rarely ever happens, because the battery is glued to the back, so the phone has to be disassembled in some type of way, and this voids the warranty

You've over-complicated the SE by providing more details than required, which (as you've experienced) Is not good practice.

Quote:I gave away the battery and smartphone to a friend of mine who is a mechanic to dispose it
Tell them that you've Immediately contacted your friend, and he's yet to dispose of It. Comply with their request thereafter.

Before i told them about disposing the phone, they asked me to return the phone by going to the post office or through a pickup from the carrier at my home, that's why i told them about the disposal.
If I say them about having retrieved it, they would ask me about shipping the phone back to them, what should I do?

What's the exact weight of the phone?

I was thinking of boxing the company when they request the return.

Although It's a little too heavy to box on Its own, you can add extra packing to make up the difference In weight.

I finally managed to get the refund, i went to a disposal center and give them an old phone, so i get a receipt about the disposal of the phone. For the medical receipt I managed to SE them telling them about how the doctors weren't sure about my son having taasted any battery substance so no receipt from them. And for the pics of the phone I just told them about not being able to do them since the first thing i did was to dispose the phone and then get my son to the hospital.

Anyways for any future leaked batery SE, you guys have any suggestions for me? How could I been more convincing with this method? Should i avoid the story about how someone got sick because of it? Thanks

Battery leaks literally never happen in phones, i wouldn’t recommend using this method again.
