Amazon Contactless Delivery SE - Wacom Intuos - JBoy1017 - 07-05-2020
Hi Guys,
Wondering if anyone had any advice for me. Amazon are currently doing Contactless delivery, which usually consists of a driver knocking on your door. Standing far away from your door and waiting for you to open the door to confirm you receive the package. The customer doesn't sign anything (for obvious reasons).
I ordered a Wacom Intuos Small from Amazon. This is a graphic tablet worth £90 and package weighs around 300g. When it was delivered I received a notification saying it was delivered. I heard no knock on the door, I saw no driver I just happened to see my package in front of my door. It must have been there for hours. \
What is the best way to SE this to get a refund?

As far as you're concerned, the package was stolen from your premises.

As with every DNA, you're obviously not supposed to know that the package arrived, hence contact the company the next day. This gives the Impression that you've been waiting all day for the delivery to no avail.

I normally get forced to wait 2 days by Amazon if I’m trying a DNA as they say their system marked it as delivered by accident

Whenever I contact Amazon UK for a DNA on the day the item arrives, I’m told they can’t offer me a refund or replacement until 48 hours after the apparent delivered date. Their reasoning is that maybe somehow the parcel got scanned as delivered before it was actually delivered.
So now I usually do my DNA 48 hours after stating “I’ve even waited a couple of days for it to turn up and it hasn’t”

It's company protocol to wait for the said duration- just In case It's still In transit.

There's 4 scanning stages:
Code:
* When collecting the package.
* At their depot (with hundreds of other packages).
* When loading Into the van for their scheduled delivery run.
