Multiple dna on PayPal - goldengeneration - 06-12-2020

Hi guys, some advice needed please.

I have successfully done a dna via PayPal for a store that doesn’t reply to PayPal. This was done in feb and was for just over £1000. I am now in the process of doing another one through the Same retailer this time for an order of just below £5000. It’s been just over 3 months since the 1st one and I’ve had a number of transactions through my PayPal account since too.

I am planning on DNA again, will this flag on PayPal’s end? Should I use totem not as described? I’m very confident the retailer will not reply.

Thanks I’m advance all

Well if you say DNA and they reply with tracking number you're screwed.

So of course I would recommend not as described. That way in the rare case that they do reply you will have a backup plan. With DNA there is no backup plan.

As for your question regarding PayPal, I'm assuming they will only get suspicious if the company replies. If they don't then technically you won't be on PayPals radar. Either way 3 months seems like a legit amount of time.

Best of luck to you.

As @Roadman said, use SNAD to be safe. If they do give a tracking number, you're very likely to lose the dispute.
I don't think it is safe to assume you'll be safe if they don't reply though. If this is only your second time using their purchase protection, I want to say you'll be fine as this can happen to a real customer though.

First and foremost, It's the status of your account that needs to be addressed prior to moving forward.

How many claims In total have you made with the same PayPal account?

RE: Multiple dna on PayPal - goldengeneration - 06-12-2020

Thanks for reply guys.

@mothered I have only done 1 before this on my account

I have previously not done SNAD or Item not as described using PayPal.

what is the best thing to say to PayPal? it is 3 electrical items.

I haven't used the SNAD or item not as described before.

Do i say the item is missing parts, the item is different to what i ordered or do i say it is not in the condition it is supposed to be (open and used rather than new)?

Understood, but "how many claims In total" have you performed with PayPal on the same account?

As per below, you're planning to DNA It, correct?

@mothered thanks again for your wisdom!

- I have only done 1 claim on PayPal with this account before. that was in february this year. Since then ive used PayPal a lot for legit transactions. ive had the account for a while now.

- Yes, I was initially planning DNA as it is known to work. especially as the carrier, has foolishly attempted to deliver the parcel to a house few doors down and took a picture of that door and uploaded that to my tracking id rather than taking a picture of the items left on my doorstep! so even if they did reply providing tracking surely this would go in my favour but furthermore im sure they will not even reply!
My main concern is when i go on to my claims page on PayPal i see the one from february which is the same retailer as this one. will it flag at their end?

You've only done the one claim for the duration of the account, so you'll be fine.

Although the claim Is against the same company, by no means does It Indicate suspicious activity on the account.

As far as you're concerned, they've simply failed (yet again) to deliver your goods which Is no fault of your own.

Then you cannot use any of your suggestions:
Quote:Do i say the item is missing parts, the item is different to what i ordered or do i say it is not in the condition it is supposed to be (open and used rather than new)?

You're using the DNA, thus you're not supposed to have the package/Item to begin with.

Under PayPal's Buyer Protection, you're covered If an Item doesn’t arrive, so this Is what you'll use when claiming the DNA.

If the company is Curry's then they have started to reply recently. Very often even, multiple people can confirm this. This is why I recommended Not as described. So take your next course of action with caution.

@mothered i meant if i chose not to use the DNA method which of the 3 options for item not as described would be easiest.

If i wanted to be on the safe side and go with the item not as described route, will they ask me to return the items and if so what do in regards of tracking id? do i box them or just give PayPal and tacking id?

thanks @Roadman it isn't currys.

how does the FTID method work?
