Sold and Fulfilled by Amazon - bag02craso - 06-09-2020 Hello guys, Ive been wondering if it is enough just to be FULFILLED by Amazon, even when sold by a thirdparty. Or does it have to be sold AND fullfilled by Amazon? Planning on using DNA. Thanks RE: Sold and Fulfilled by Amazon - Rednaxela1 - 06-09-2020 (06-09-2020, 12:15 PM)bag02craso Wrote: Hello guys, Sold and fulfilled by Amazon is the safest option. If it's sold by another seller and fulfilled by Amazon then it's not Amazon stock. Instead of Amazon dealing with you directly they'd be more like the referee if the seller was to put up a fight against you. It's easiest with Sold and Fulfilled by Amazon as you are dealing directly with Amazon, however, you can definitely SE third-party sellers as well. It'd be akin to SE'ing an Ebay seller. Depending on what you'd prefer to do, you can try to contact them outside of Amazon so that Amazon does not "referee". Amazon sellers care a lot about their internal metric score, so a threat with an A-Z guarantee claim may help. I personally don't condone any of this, but I'll be happy to share any knowledge. You can find lots of posts from Amazon sellers and how refunds look on their end on Amazon's seller forum, Amazon seller central. Most refund right away and carry out an investigation with the courier so as to not hurt their metrics. RE: Sold and Fulfilled by Amazon - Roadman - 06-09-2020 I'm under the impression third party items fulfilled by amazon use amazon's very own delivery and return procedure, therefore any refund method you choose to carry out will result in the same outcome regardless if sold directly by amazon or not. So I'm pretty sure the third party seller won't be affected. So I'm pretty sure the third party seller won't be affected. I can't speak for the delivery system, but the return procedure is different. The third party seller will of course be affected. It's their product they are selling. I don't think Amazon will reimburse them. The courier will if they insured the package. Edit: I didn't read the "fulfilled by Amazon" part. On the SE'ers end, the return procedure may be the same as well. Either way though, the seller is directly affected as it is their product. Edit: For people finding this in the future, upon more research, if it's fulfilled by Amazon (aka FBA), then the refund is issued by Amazon - the seller is barely affected as they still keep the money. With FBA, the seller sends their product to Amazon warehouse and Amazon simply sends funds to the seller upon sale. If it's FBM (fulfilled by merchant), then the seller is directly responsible for the refund, as well as the product. So I'm pretty sure the third party seller won't be affected. In that case I apologise. My assumption was indeed on amazon reimbursing the seller since the return is going back to their warehouse, therefore in theory under their security and safekeeping. Edit: I've seen your edit (lol) . Thanks for the info. So I'm pretty sure the third party seller won't be affected. No reason to apologize. Everything I'm spouting may be wrong for all you know. My only source of knowledge with Amazon third-party is their seller's forum which I lurk through only on occasion. I'm not sure which sellers are fulfilled by Amazon or not. I'm just trying to share any knowledge I know of - but my knowledge may not necessarily be correct as it's just what I've seen and remember online. Anything you find online should always be taken with a few grains of salt.
