SE drop help - zedrox464 - 05-27-2020

So I basically SE'd a high value (around $2500) item and gave them a "drop" address. I don't really live near a drop, but the closest thing near me within walking distance is an abandoned boarded up house. I gave that address and it is going to be shipped there. The problem is it requires signature and fedex doesn't ask for signature, but make sure to give it to a person inside the house. So idk what to do. I can't go inside the house. Can anybody help. I used a fake name too so I can't pick up from a fedex center because id is required and I am literally a kid. Any help would be appreciated. I gave them a drop + fake name because billing. The worst thing that can happen if they figure it out is they will void the warranty. Once I get tracking number i am considering paying the $5 they charge to deliver to another address. After all $5 for a $2500 item is worth it

With COVID, I would say you may be in luck with them leaving it outside. I know someone at FedEx who told me they've been doing that for nearly all packages, but with a boarded house, I doubt they'd just leave the box.

One thing with paying the $5 is, will they update the sender with the change.

It's something to think about, but congrats on SEing such a high-value item!

Honestly I am just going to pay the $5 when I receive the tracking number and send them an old busted up laptop I've been meaning to throw away

What method are you planning to use with this?

Is this an advanced RMA?

Yes, but the good thing is that they didn't ask for a card. They really just blacklist and void the warranty

I already SE'd the item. I just need to box the return after I receive "replacement"

Okay, so the SE Is an AR.

Given the Item's value and as per your Intention below, they'll most likely check the return.

If you've used your very own payment system for the original purchase, they'll debit your account.
How do you plan to circumvent this?

The laptop was bought on amazon according to the ebay listing and I got all the info required from that listing. When doing the ar, they somehow did not ask for any payment details. If they did, I had a $10 privacy card generated just in case.

I wonder which company this is Tongue

That sounds like a pretty smooth SE man, looking forward to more SE success stories from you.

Seldom does this happen with ARs.

They've basically SEd themselves.
Good work.
