Sony refund options? - jdeemlg - 04-29-2020

Hi,

So i ordered a soundbar from Sony direct. Idea would be to try ther DNA method as everyone has been leaving parcels behind my back door with no signature. Including DPD themselves, I have not done any DNA during these corvid-19 lockdowns.

Anyway the parcel arrived today and DNA probably will be harder.

The driver left a card in my door, with a note saying "back door" the tracking shows a picture of my back door with the soundbar against it showing it as delivered. The parcel is heavy and one item so empty box isnt going to work.

What options do I have here, im happy to keep the item but as it cost £499 it was the one item from my list of orders i have made taht i wanted to try and get refunded.

Any help is appricated

To clarify

- Parcel is marked as signed by me but I did not sign for it

- There is picture proof of the parcel at the address

Not at all.

As far as you're concerned, you didn't personally receive It.

Given the driver has accessed your backdoor without restrictions, so too can anyone else, hence steal It.

DNA seems pretty solid option here.

Hey,

Im just giving it a couple of days before processing the claim. Was going to contact them monday, I feel DNA is my only option regardless here. My back door is down an alley and the parcel would have been visible to anyone walking past, so will give it a go. Will update as i proceed

I second this.

I haven't boxed them In a while, but the handful of times that I did, worked with minimal fuss.

Dropped them an email today as there was no direct contract, in terms of boxing if it comes to it, how would be the best way to proceed as i have only ever done partial or dna refunds

It depends on the Item, and whether a weight substitute Is necessary.
