Which VPN shall I buy for security ? - YoBigTime - 10-16-2019 NordVPN SurfShark PIA IPVanish I need it for high security , so totally no log policy is a must ! PIA has already shown that they are legit when they were served a court order ... but the rest has yet to deal with Law Enforcement agencies so I am not sure who else I could trust with my internet traffic.. Please help me choose ! RE: Which VPN shall I buy for security ? - mothered - 10-16-2019 Thread moved from The Lounge forum, accordingly to Anonymity. That aside, you can't go wrong with NordVPN, IPVanish, ZenMate, ExpressVPN and PIA (Private Internet Access). Be sure to use the Tor network, with both Tor over VPN & VPN over Tor configurations. Also, restrict the 14 eyes countries by adding the exclude nodes In the Tor configuration file, namely Torrc. As an added layer of anonymity, add Tor bridges as the entry (guard) node, which helps prevent your ISP from knowing you're connected to the Tor network. Thanks for the detailed response .. i’m not so sure about these commercial VPNs like NordVPN because they have such an aggressive marketing policy + google ads embedded at their site... This reflects that they’d do anything for money .. what if they already sold their servers to Law Enforcement agencies ......... What’s wrong with SurfShark ? It’s so cheap

You know, you don't absolutely have to pay for a VPN service. There are multiple new threads full of VPN emails & passwords. It's not illegal (It technically is but don't count on getting a knock on your door). Just use the forums search function. It's located near the top of the site. Once you get there just search for VPN accounts. RE: Which VPN shall I buy for security ? - Oni - 10-17-2019 I've used NordVPN and it's great for general use. Your needs might require something bulletproof/offshore, though. RE: Which VPN shall I buy for security ? - Defeat - 10-17-2019 NordVPN is pretty solid. They have deals all the time too. Don't trust "any" VPN, they're simply a marketing ploy to entice consumers to purchase their service. Also, take their "no log policy" with a grain of salt. Law enforcement agencies can obtain a court order and "force" VPN providers to start logging activity. RE: Which VPN shall I buy for security ? - raisins_are_sins - 10-17-2019 Personally, I use Surfshark, it has a strict no-log policy, it's cheap, and you can have unlimited logins on different devices. These were the main reasons why I got, but it has other decent features as well: https://surfshark.com/features |
