Man Scams Amazon by Returning Boxes of Dirt - Biglad465 - 08-27-2019 Just a cool little article I thought i'd share with you (I think it's a few weeks old by now , even so) . It is a cool little method , one I don't think is utilised enough (it's very similar to boxing method I suppose) . I imagine the exploit is still there so I might try some time in the future. Why not go stealth on a operation like this.. RE: Man Scams Amazon by Returning Boxes of Dirt - Refusal - 08-27-2019 Damn, they got his ass. Ive never actually attempted to get a refund ever through amazon for anything. I probably easily could seeing as my account is years old with alot of purchased products RE: Man Scams Amazon by Returning Boxes of Dirt - mothered - 08-27-2019 This Is a prime example of why you should leave nothing to chance when SEing. Exhaust all avenues, and cover every angle with your method. That aside, 370k Is a significant amount, so I'd say It's safe to assume that a prison sentence will be served. In a similar case to this where someone did $1.2mill they were sentenced to 6 years and had to repay amazon. Most likely this, the thing is . There was no reason for his packages to be opened like that. Meaning he technically wouldn’t have needed to cover his tracks. Guy was bound to get unlucky at some point RE: Man Scams Amazon by Returning Boxes of Dirt - Tibo inc - 08-27-2019 (08-27-2019, 03:22 PM)Biglad465 Wrote:(08-27-2019, 12:09 PM)mothered Wrote: This Is a prime example of why you should leave nothing to chance when SEing. Then he wanted more profit and just sent back dirt. Quote:There was no reason for his packages to be opened like that. It shouldn't have been opened for at least a month, by that time it wouldn't be able to be traced back to him. Like you stated, he got unlucky. RE: Man Scams Amazon by Returning Boxes of Dirt - Jared - 08-27-2019 Jeez, just shows you some of the ridiculous vulnerabilities companies have. Do you think they'll be changing policy because of this? Do you think they'll be changing policy because of this? I personally doubt it. My main reasoning is think about how many returns happen daily. They would need to employ staff to open every single package the second it arrived. Otherwise there is no way they could link it back to you. They simply won't spend that amount of money purely having people open the package, verify the inside box, open the inside box, and verify the item is inside in perfect condition. There is no way this will be patched untill x-ray robots/goggles are invented
