Need Police Report - thelegend27 - 07-04-2019
Can anyone help me create a NYC police report? Electronics company wants me to submit a police report in order to proceed but I used a partial method stating that they never delivered the item so the precinct told me it's not their responsibility. Rather it's the merchant's responsibility and a civil matter instead of a criminal matter.
Any thoughts?

First big thing. Creating a police report is illegal as far as I know. Also some more information could be helpful
1: What was the product?
2: What site was the product from?
3: How much was the product?

I definitely have tried to file a police report, but the precinct wouldn't allow me to. They told me it's not a criminal matter but a civil one since it didn't qualify for a police report. Anyways, messaged and thanks

Do not falsify a police report. Period.
It's simply required as part of company protocol to move forward with your claim.

I would NEVER make a false police report if I were you. Should law enforcement see that report at some point it would guarantee that they investigate the case and likely go after you.
