Refunding wish - Easiest shop ever? - Faxnos - 06-14-2019 Simply put I've been refunding wish for a while now, and it's always been very easy. I've only tried items up to 100$ as I don't really want to spend more then that on rip off items haha. Below is my chat log between the support agent and i, posted for "education purposes" for people considering the shop and DNA method. Might have already been posted, but still enjoy anyway as a guide. RE: Refunding wish - Easiest shop ever? - Voxis - 06-15-2019 Image is broken. Curse you, I can't have my daily laugh lol. Although it would be hilarious to read that convo. Wish is in China isn't it? At least when I do it, they don't respond. Either way. Congratulations. RE: Refunding wish - Easiest shop ever? - Voxis - 06-15-2019 Interesting. I was always under the impression that they were Chinese. Edit: They seem super oblivious to everything. Not going to lie. RE: Refunding wish - Easiest shop ever? - zorrophreak - 06-15-2019 Strange that its block by China's firewall, Wish makes extensive use of their horrible logistics platform WishPost which often times works directly with ChinaPost. Regardless, most of the sellers are Chinese, which is why Wish as an app is willing to let stuff slide, alongside that I'm aware that much of their internal staff is located in China, but the company itself ContextLogic is located in the United States and the overall system is run over here. RE: Refunding wish - Easiest shop ever? - Faxnos - 06-15-2019 I agree that they are putting minimal effort or precautions in place to stop this happening, but at the end of the day im not complaining about that. The only downside about Wish (aside from the rip off products) is that their shipping times can take anywhere from a couple weeks to 3 months in my experience given my location, but still easy SE for beginners.
RE: Refunding wish - Easiest shop ever? - Rednaxela1 - 06-18-2019 Is this not pointless? Meaning everything on Wish doesn't cost much.. Upon looking at their registration, I found that the registrar is from north-central China, where Beijing, Tianjin, and Shanghai is. It's funny how the great firewall blocks it tho. Most products have a thumbnail with Mandarin on it, likely stolen from the more trustworthy alternative, taobao. That is how I know that the product is of high quality. RE: Refunding wish - Easiest shop ever? - titchyyyy - 06-18-2019 It's definitely not pointless to refund Wish.com and it's probably the easiest refund you'll ever do. You'll NEVER get denied or declined a refund, ever. I went in for a £700 order first time and grabbed tablets, power banks, drones, phones - the usual suspects. I was able to re-sell it all for about £320 on eBay and get my full refund back from Wish. Not amazing amounts of money but you can make some serious cash if you continue to refund over & over again. I made my order on the 3rd of May and I got my 'final' refund on June 12th. Regardless if the items turn up or not, just ask for a refund. I think out of the 15 items I ordered, I only received 13! Grab 10 x powerbanks and refund them, even if you get £8-10 for them on eBay, you'll still be making a few quid! |
