Failed partial? - himar2468 - 04-24-2019

Hey guys so i ordered 6 items from a website said 2 were missing a light coat and some jeans, after signing a declaration form they said they will begin an investigation.

I just received a letter today stating, "we have carried out a full investigation into your claim and are rejecting your claim and taking no further action......we have confirmed the weight when dispatched from our warehouse and can confirm it contained all the items you ordered (i tried to avoid this by ordering some heavy items such as boots to make it difficult).....we have also contacted the courier company that collected the parcel and they confirmed the weight of the parcel when received at their depot and it matched the weight when dispatched from our warehouse......you confirmed there was no damage to the parcel so we can only conclude that it was delivered to you with all the items enclosed.....if you are not satisfied with the response then you have the right to submit a complaint via the European online dispute resolution website"

should i pursue it further or just return the items and take it as a loss?

thanks in advance.

Know your losses, try something else

Can I ask which site this was for if you don’t mind?

Always, and I mean "always" take the weight Into account when using the missing Item/partial method.

Failing to do so, will have similar results to this.

I tried to take the weight into account, the total weight of the package was around 5kg the items that I said were missing are a total of 500 grams which I thought was low enough to not be an issue. I’ve done partials in the past with 1kg worth of items missing and haven’t had an issue. I will be returning the items though so not a worry. What should I do differently next time do you think?

I’ll let you know once it’s all done

Also just to add to this, when returning the items should I contact them to tell them I’ve returned them and that I was pranked by my brother or do I just return them and wait without saying anything.

500 grams Is half a kilo, which Is too heavy for the missing Item/partial method.

At the very most, 60-70 grams.

Which method would you advise is the best in this case?
