Replacing macbook - dragoph - 03-12-2019 I have a macbook which my sibling spilled water on and it fried the mother board. Has anyone had experience with swapping a broken macbook with a legit one from say amazon and claiming it was a faulty / defective item. I thought about it but it seems the Achilles heel is the identification on the bottom of the laptop which makes it extremely difficult. RE: Replacing macbook - mothered - 03-12-2019 Why not use the "wrong Item received" method Instead. Due to the MacBook being a high value Item, they'll most likely check the return and determine It wasn't the original sent. RE: Replacing macbook - Vultra - 03-12-2019 You can do what mother has said or, try to clean it yourself before any corrosion happens. The Issue Is that they'll check the return (I'd almost guarantee It), and Identify It's not the device that was dispatched. A stock (Inventory) Item purchased from the same store via a different account will be scanned as theirs, hence If the SE Is formulated and executed effectively, the claim will not be declined. So does that mean, its better to buy a stock item thats theirs and then send it back or are you saying that theyll link it with the other account and should rather purchase it elsewhere? But you can sell it on the down payment first. The main thing to observe anonymity. The best thing to is create a completely different account unlinkable to your new one, buy a similar weight item and then do the wrong item method. The difficult part is creating an unlinkable account. You can use as address an amazon locker for example, go on an internet point for IP and whatnot, but for different payment method and name it may be harder. Precisely. You purchase the stock Item with a completely different account, and send It to another address. This way, they cannot link It to your SE and given It's their Item, It will be scanned as such when checking It against their Inventory. I see thank you but from your previous posts, this method has a chance of going south if amazon does cross check their sku and who it was acc sent to, or am i wrong |
