Amazon Investigating My PS4 Order. Help!! - Sksch1666 - 02-13-2019
This is my first time trying this and it didn’t work out as planned. I read some posts and decided to order a PS4 from Amazon to try getting a refund. Today, I got the PS4 which was left in front of my door without any signature needed. I contacted Amazon live chat saying my package was delivered but nothing was in there. He asked me whether or not the box was tempered with and I said no. At the end, they said they have started an investigation that may take up to 72 hours. Am I screwed? Can anyone please help me.

Wait it out and see. I'm surprising they bothered for a PS4, especially as your first claim. How old is your Amazon account ?

My account is like 3-4 years old with alot of orders pricing from low to high. It has one return in which the laptop i ordered was actually malfunctioning so i returned it for money back about 2 weeks ago. Maybe this is causing the problem?

Don't be surprised If your SE fails. You should've said the package was tampered with.
They've opened an Investigation, and will cross-reference the details with the carrier. If they Identify the weight of the package was delivered and consistent with that of the PS4, then It could not have been received empty.

Don't be surprised If your SE fails. You should've said the package was tampered with.
They've opened an Investigation, and will cross-reference the details with the carrier. If they Identify the weight of the package was delivered and consistent with that of the PS4, then It could not have been received empty.
Should I contact them and make up an excuse to make it look like I found the item? I would like to just return the PS4 as this investigation won’t probably go in my favor.

Hold off untill they reply, you could get lucky. Obviously if they say they are going to escalate it to the police and they have enough grounds to arrest, then lie your ass off with some excuse about finding it, only make sure it is believable.
This is why on your first couple of refunds you should do small amounts.

You certainly can.
Make an excuse that your little brother took the Item without your knowledge, and you found It In his bedroom a few days later.
