RTX 2080Ti SE (Sucess? Update) - 0Centurion - 02-11-2019 Original title was amazon product weight vs shipped weight , changed it for visibility. Hello gentlemen. I will attempt to SE an RTX 2080Ti sold and shipped from Amazon in a few days. What I would like to know is which weight should I be using as a reference for replacing with the wrong item? The product weight on the page is 2.35lbs but the shipping weight is 3.35. Assuming the shipping weight is after all the boxing and padding , should I just get something sold from Amazon that is closer to 2.35lbs? I am asking because I plan on using an Amazon-basics item as a replacement to further boost my claim of the wrong item being sent but in order for that to have the maximum chance of being effective , I need the weight to be as close as possible. Insights would be greatly appreciated. RE: Amazon item weight vs shipped weight - DTMHibbert - 02-12-2019 (02-11-2019, 10:40 PM)0Centurion Wrote: Hello gentlemen. I maybe wrong with this but i believe its the Shipping Weight to worry about as they weight the package before handing to the courier. please someone jump in if im wrong. RE: Amazon item weight vs shipped weight - mothered - 02-12-2019 There's the gross weight (entire packaging which Is the "shipping weight"), and the net weight (Item only which Is the "product weight"). Focus on the latter- In your case, the "product weight". Told them I received amazon basics batteries instead of the graphics card , representative provided me with a return label and confirmed that it will be noted down that I received batteries so the returns team will know to avoid any future hi jinks. All that is left is to send the batteries back and receive the refund. I have a email confirming this as well. RTX 2080Ti - $1400 after tax. Looks like I am home free but I will update you guys when the refund goes through. Stay tuned. I Sent them something else though. i dont think you need to speak/chat with anyone since you can create your own shipping label. When executed accordingly, this clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of the wrong Item received method. Amazon item weight vs shipped weight - dtnel78 - 02-16-2019 Did you order batteries with a different account using different address? I learned long ago to always open and check my orders right away as I've had wrong stuff show up in a package. Last Christmas holiday season ordered multiple items and when the box arrived on ring camera the bottom flap was open and a scan tool and socket extension set was missing. Informed the Rep that I had it on ring and would supply the video if they need and they informed me it wasn't a issue and they wouldn't need it. Sent a replacement order with the proper parts. Missing ones never arrived. Some lucky fed ex driver got some free tools I imagine due to lack of tape adherence in cold weather which I've witnessed more this winter as well even this past week. I don't know how many batteries were ordered nor their weight, but If It were myself performing the SE, they'd be consistent with the weight of the GPU. |
