your thoughts on this "youtube hack" 03-30-2022, 06:40 PM

So i saw a former youtuber the other day post that their youtube was hacked and they lost access to it. the only issue is that they said after they were hacked they changed their gmail password. My question is if you still have access to the youtube's gmail how are you unable to get it back. The user doesnt post to that channel anymore except for privates that go to their patreon so they dont really need it for ad revenue. My thought is that they are trying to gain sympathy, and for people to join their patreon as they linked it after; that and the fact that the hacked channel didn't do anything to the channel, they changed the name to the youtuber's first name last initial, and they haven't even posted any of the private videos. What are your thoughts, any input helps.
