Depends, there's a possibility that they have reported the S/N lost or stolen and if someone puts in a warranty claim they could get denied and their device locked

I think if they mark S/N as lost/stoled the device should be locked even without warranty claim

Not sure, I was able to claim apple warranty once on a refunded phone. Its worth a shot I would say.

If Meta took action at the time the claim was finalized In the SE'ers favor, the Item will be non-existent, hence the warranty Is void.

That can be easily circumvented: I had my Oculus account banned a few months after using my Quest 2, but when Meta accounts rolled out I created one and here I am, again using my headset to its full potential
