You'd be using the "sealed box method". This Is on the grounds that the contents are not visible as per the manufacturer's packaging.
The objective Is to replace the new Item with the old, and not show any signs of tampering. As such, the store person will place It back In their Inventory and Issue a refund/replacement thereafter.

Alright, i have put the old mouse back in the box. Only problem when sealing it back up a couple of pieces of filth landed under the adhesive. I personally think this is a indication the package has been tampered with. There are like 3 small black hairs undernearth like 3mm/2mm long, will this affect the method you have prescribed? Thanks in advance.

It's not possible to visualize the extent of the Inconsistencies. Can you gently cut/remove the hair with a pair of scissors or blade?
Also, did you solely open & seal the box at the bottom?

No i can't remove them, they're stuck on good. And i opened it on top where the sticker is out of fear of tearing the bottom up while opening. The debris is pretty visible to be honest to anyone with a lamp.. I am hestitant to go trough.

It's human nature to open packages/boxes at the top, hence tampering Is more likely to be noticed as opposed to the opening at the bottom.
Can you please elaborate on this:

The bottom of the box is folded together in such a way that it can rip pretty easily when pulling to try and open it. I didn't want to risk that, so how do you open the bottom without destroying it? And do you think i should go trough with it, or just take this loss?

Without viewing the box, It's very difficult (If not Impossible) to say precisely how It should be opened.

I don't know the extent of the Inconsistencies.
Is It possible to PM me an Image that clearly displays the tampering?

Thanks, message received.
I've viewed and zoomed the Image In full HD and If your concern Is the particles under the seal, then I don't think there's anything to worry about. Sure It's noticeable, but given you're solely focusing on that, It makes It seem a lot worse than what It actually Is.
It that the underside of the box?
