a few questions.
1. proxy. what proxy do you recommend. and does a proxy JUST change ip for web browser? or for all internet activity on the computer? if you open (on win 7) internet options and then add a proxy ip and a port number, does that change ip for ALL internet interaction? or just browser?
2. vpn. what is it? yes. virtual private network or something, but what is the advantage of using it?
3. combination? I use tor browser and a proxy. anything else I should be doing?

1. any anonymous proxy will do, but they are not very secure and kind of slow. they work with what's configured with them so in your case only browser
2. vpn hides your IP and encrypts your traffic. vpn technology can be also used to create virtual LANs but the ones you buy for anonymization purposes have those functionalities turned off for obvious security reasons. either way, vpn is awesome and if you find a good one you're on a good way to fast and very anonymous browsing.

VPN is good secure then proxy but u have to pay for it i have download many software and test as trial they work perfectly...

1. as proxies are usually not encrypted, traffic between you and proxy or between proxy and destination server can be sniffed + if proxy keeps logs, you can be traced
2. if VPN uses strong encryption and doesn't keep logs, it's secure
3. you should be fine but vpn is a better choice

I use a combo of vpn nd anon proxy then tor. Slow but it works. Nd i can slay that paranoid dragon
