just tried this and they cant process the refund they said I need to file a police report.

Who did? Amazon or another company? Police report is fine just fill it in online and they'll give you a reference number to give to the company who should then give a refund.

You need to get on the phone and argue with them that filing a police report makes no sense as it seems to be a manufacturer error, everything was perfectly sealed, just no headphones in Apple box. They seem to now just tell you to PR everything.

My friend recently bought a "Brand New" CPU from Amazon that when it arrived the CPU box seals were broken and hanging off, I told him to say no CPU in box, they offered replacement, told him to push for refund, they denied refund. Doesnt really make sense.
