Hi!!!

So, I have had really bad time trying to fix my GRUB2. I thought that I would post some things, that could help you.

If your sure your GRUB2 is installed but simply doesn't know, where the config files are, follow this guide:

sudo mount /dev/sdXY /mnt sudo grub-install --root-directory=/mnt /dev/sdX

sdXY = this could be your sda1 or sde1 or w/e. Put there the partition, where your main OS is installed.

If you want to completely re-install GRUB(2) follow this:

lool Well, I was about to re-install system and try mint linux, but I have valuable data on this install which I don't want to loose =)

okai I'm at a big bad problem right now!
with grub rescue the only commands I can use are
ls
set
insmod
