I recently did a EB of a iPhone at Amazon, the investigation was still ongoing but I pressured them, and now the Rep said don't worry I will solve it for you, and said I should just send back th Empty Box to them, and they would refund me.

She even created the Return Shipping Label.

Is it safe to return the Empty Box and then wait for the refund ,and turning the Phone on after the refund is completed?

Or would you say it is risky due to the IMEI of the device and they having the Box back?

How likely is Amazon to not get me my money back after receiving the box?

Done on aged account more than 5 Years, with Prime and never had refunds before.

Don't pressure the reps on this sort of occasion, because they can add your pressure to the investigation and at the end of the day it could be failed.

Always wait for the funds to turn it on. Amazon may not have a way to check if the phone is on or off, but I have it as a superstition now, never on before the funds. You never know if they have some kind of way to check it

The thing is, on your order page doesnt it show the phones imei?

If it doesn't you should rub it out discreetly so it doesn't look like you did it on purpose. Amazon definitely has blocked imeis in the past.

from my experience - no, amazon does not provide IMEI on order page nor on the proof of purchase document

I'm still waiting, return was completed, just the Warehouse needs to process it.
