I recently received my package and today I called Apple customer service to claim that my box did not have the iPhone, but only the cable and some info papers.
They sent me an email asking me for a PR and some photos which will be easy, but I have no idea how PR works. How do I file one and won't they find out about
my real name and address if I provide them with one? I would be really happy to get any kind of help possible! I have also tell the rep to get me a replacement so
it's not that suspicious as well.

Yes, I did use a fake online account and all of the aliases were fake, therefore can I still file a police report for a fake name and address, won't that affect me somehow? Let me know if it's ok.

That aside, you cannot file a police report using the fake credentials of your online account.

Hello, thanks for the reply, I think I will be going there locally tomorrow and maybe it might work, I will say that I want to make this for my friend who is currently unable to go here due to personal issues and that it is better to have it as fast as possible, Apple asked me to file all of the client's data including his address name and data of the order as well so tracking number, IMEI and this stuff, I mean what is the worst thing that can happen nothing right, a police report can be filed by anyone and not just by the damaged person, I will let you know how it went.

That aside, you cannot file a police report using the fake credentials of your online account.

It doesn't work that way.

Unless the other person Is Incapacitated and you have documents/reports stating that, along with their Identification, the police will not provide you with a report on their behalf.

You can't.

The police don't simply hand out reports to anyone who requests It - they will require Identification.

Hmm ok, so I will just go ahead and return the thing and forget it, so to understand it whenever I refund a company I need to use my real credentials in order to proceed with the refund like PR and signing some documents, that's very disappointing but at least I know it now, I will be doing the exactly same thing soon, but like if it does require a real name and stuff then the method is limited to only 1 try.

Only with methods that trigger PRs.

The need to sign documents Is not as common, so I wouldn't be too concerned.
