I have a fedex employee living near me and I'm wondering what's the best way to approach him about this kind of stuff. They deliver a lot to my area so a connect would be good

Do you have a close friendship with the employee?

I don't think he is going to risk his job to get you things or do favors. If things are missing from his route or truck, he may be responsible. You can try, but I wouldn't. There's many other ways to SE and be successful.

If he's unbeknownst to the OP, I definitely agree.

It may be a different story If they're well acquainted with each other, thereby a form of trust Is established. I know many Insiders who work the system with minimal risk to their employment.

Very true on the inside sources, those are always good to develop and have. They know the tricks and ins and outs of what can be done. Just like "Mothered" said. Might be a good idea to befriend him, and see what is up. There's more than a few Amazon workers who feel they just don't get paid enough or don't like something about their job. Worth a shot to find out.

Glad to be here (Mothered) and to help out!

I don't know your whole story or relationship with this FedEx person. I'm going to assume you don't know him, well if he's a neighbor, get to know him. Make some small talk and ask him about FedEx and how he likes it, tell him you are interested in working there, eventually mention you have had some lost packages or something from FedEx or somewhere else. Work your way in, see if he's cool or not. He may come right out and say things to you or you may ask him. You have to feel people out. If there's a way to get some drinks in him ask them. I don't know your social skills, but regardless, it may take time, but he may be a good friend to have.

Keep us posted
