anyone know any method which would work for farfetch? I'm looking to buy a belt (guessing it weighs 500-800g) and it would be a fresh account with a cheap order. I'm from the UK.

The wrong Item received Is obviously a good option.

Given the user has stated he is in the UK, he is totally covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 which will place the onus onto Farfetch.
However, the courier is likely to be more of a problem if a DNA approach was considered. I believe Farfetch use both DHL and UPS.
I've seen Farfetch success with EB but the most complete method would be to utilise a service which provides advanced DHL FTID which marks the status as lost in transit or otherwise. It's near impossible for Farfetch to counter such an approach.

Then, for cost of freight on your end, ask them the weight of the belt.

Also, how Is the belt packaged?
