Anything that's light (under 120g) and valuable (large-capacity storage systems like SSD's, Apple watches, etc...) can be claimed as missing from your parcel (they won't register on the courier's scale most likely). For things of a medium to large weight (up to 2-3kg) you could always DNA (did not arrive) depending on the courier (would not try that with FedEx, DPD or Royal Mail) and the warehouse practices of the target's (some use cameras during the packing process - research is a must).

For starters, the missing item method (<120g) and the DNA method for slightly larger things are pretty easy to pull as it usually comes down to their word versus yours. So, once you've decided on a target, just have a look through their most popular items and decide on a method based on the above. Theoretically speaking, every item can be as easy or as hard to SE depending on the target, the method, and the approach.

Oh, and a very obvious point: every SE will be considerably harder or easier to pull depending on your account standing. If you've got multiple refunds under your belt in a short period of time or without enough legit orders in-between, you can bet they won't trust your "missing SSD"(just an example) claims again.

Hope this helped, I've just started out myself and I picked some of these tips from other members, especially mothered.

It's beyond the scope of this post to detail everything for beginners.

In a nutshell, begin with very low value Items against a company who's vulnerable to exploitation (such as Amazon), and with a method you're comfortable and most Importantly, confident with.

Nope, nothing. Get out now while you still can Smile

Get creative. Find anything in your fridge that you like and get ahold of the company and tell them something was wrong with it and see what you can get out of it.

Check out socialengineers.net
Don't read 4 articles and think you're a mastermind of social engineering. Read it all. Come up with some suggestions on a company, product and method and I'll let you know what I think.
