Hello all, its been a long time since I have been here and I am in a hurry bc of some opsec and infosec problems and even more potential problems. I am a skip trace/facilitator/finder/buyer/etc. of anything for that which others seek but, I am also like that kick ass race car driving savant, yet automotive retard who doesn't know a spark plug from a butt plug or even why either exists. What I need to know is this...I will be running Tails "through" my old Dell inspiron 3000 laptop w/w10 or win7 bc I have heard that win7 is better security. Is it practical to place a vm on tails, and a vpn for extra measure or am i farting in the wind wasting $ and time on redundancy and maybe incompatibility?. I no longer have my mentor around to design/build/assemble the boxes "for the retard" and i took it for granted he would always b around. If $ is no object will you guys produce for me a build sheet of hw and sw to make an impregnable fool proof/idiot proof bad ass machina. Bc I am a stupid unlearning fuckwit my last one was shot up like swiss cheese and then jackbooted for good measure. HELP PLEASE!!!

Tails is a good OS for privacy. Qubes is overkill and uses too many resources.

Running a VPN might be a good idea. Even though all traffic is routed through Tor, a VPN will add another layer of needed protection. But be warned, if you have slow internet or get a bad connection, a VPN and Tor at the same time can be very slow.

I wouldn't recommend running an OS on a VM anymore. Especially if you're going for privacy. It's possible to detect if you are running a VM or not. There are tons of cheap USBs online. But if you do use a VM, use Windows 10. Windows 7 should NOT be used if you want security. It's not supported by Microsoft anymore.

Absolutely.

Be sure to run both Tor over VPN and VPN over Tor. Obviously using two different VPN services for the Entry and Exit Nodes.

hey drako, much thanks for the response and the advice. but, I got2 ask, if not Qube, is there another or really no need, or is Tails capable enough for everything . Are their weaknesses that I need yo know about?

i'm currently running Trust Zone on my rig and mobile...any opinion on TZ? only knock I've heard is the customer service but, I've never needed their help and I really like all the choices by countries an cities to choose for the outbound and the unlimited manual switching. wish I could turn off the geolocations permanently though...sure would solve some things and relieve some anxieties...also, not sure how to run one over the other, since I already have TZ on the puter and cell, do I just add another VPN once I am on Tor from Tor that only runs when I'm aboard? or can they run concurrently?, I'm confused...

* Anonymity: Not being able to "Identify" you.
