autozone battery refund #1
I would like to purchase a car battery from autozone and the method I'm going to use is that that battery was leaking acid when it arrived. Is this method still viable or has it been patched now?

You can use that method, or alternatively, tell them It's dead and that It does not hold charge.

If you use the latter (not holding charge), reassure them that your car Is only 12 months old and the alternator Is perfectly fine, hence the battery Is at fault.

But wouldn’t they then just say to return the battery?

If you use the "not holding charge/dead battery" method, tell them you couldn't start your car and requested roadside assistance.

The mechanic replaced the battery and disposed of the old one, hence you no longer have It. To put the guilt trip on them, say that they should pay for the cost of the on-site mechanic- due to their Incapacity to provide you with a working battery.

I tried using the battery leak method and it looks like it failed. They wanted pictures of the battery but I told them I had disposed it. Is my only recourse a chargeback?
