Yes, do too many and you'll eventually get a mail by OFM.

A return Is a return, regardless of Its nature.

Too many *refunds* will eventually mark your account for concessions abuser, doesnt matter how many legit purchases you have in between.
A LEGIT MAIL FROM OFM ON VALID REASON will confirm that your account has been identified & marked ahahaha XDDD

They do keep a track of refunds they are issuing & also what sort of item you keep vs what you return for REFUNDS + they also have important key data from every orders/accounts stored in their record's pool permanently.

Hold on though, it's not HOW MANY REFUNDS, it's the percentage of refunds vs purchases that matter
I have quite a few refunds (a dozen a year at the very least), but also way, way more purchases, so I've never been flagged so far, as I'm probably a good customer to them
I know a guy that complained about getting the OFM mail, as a totally legit customer, cause he returned about 1/5 of his orders, so even if it was juts 2 refunds in a year he only had 10 orders or so and amazon didn't like that

Not true.

Amazon operates on a return/refund rate using an anti-fraud detection algorithm, and If you abuse their service with an Influx of returns, there's every chance the account In question will be flagged or closed - regardless of the amount of purchases made.

Well, my influx of returns never warranted an OFM mail so far, despite having up to 4 open returns at once (i let them build up so i could ship them all on a single trip to the post office, lazy me) that were also running kinda late, probably shipped on the last available day
So, at least from my experience, I'd recommend keeping a low refund:orders ratio before focusing on low refunds only, since even just 1 return out of 2 orders would be a 50% ratio which obviously isn't good

^ And rightly so - It's not considered high risk activity that triggers a fraudulent pattern of behavior or otherwise.

I'm referring to recklessly abusing Amazon's service with a very high volume of returns/refunds. Legit purchases will not help In such circumstances.
