Zalando shoes #1
Hi guys, i've planend to DNA Zalando for a pair of shoes and a cap ≈240USD. Unfortunately for me, the courier decided to declare i was not home, (even tho i was) and delivered the package to the nearest Post office (located in a giant mall, CCTV's everywhere)
Yesterday i went to pickup my package, and could do so, by saying the last four digits of the package code, and swiftly let the clerk glance my ID.

Doing a partial in this case would (probably) not work, as the shoes are 880g.

DNA, doesent make sense as i've picked up the package myself at a postal office with cameras everywhere

I've thought of returning a different pair of shoes, with approximately the same weight, but weighing it out with some duct tape. But as of this method, it would require a dumbass, to just see the correct weight, and not bother to look inside the shoe box.... and with my lack of experience with Zalando, i have no idea how "lazy" they are, or whether they refund the amount as soon as they see the package is headed their way.
As i presume each department form around the world, handles things a bit differently (work ethics, wage, etc) i can inform that this package would be headed towards Malmo, Sweden (if any of yall have experience with them)

Perhaps i could claim, that I'VE recieved the beat up shoes that im planning on sending back. But what would the chances being of that? Taking into consideration the chain of people handling the package, probably wouldnt have that at hand (unless they wore the shoes themsolves ofc)

I could also throw in some typical "delivery guy" stuff weighing about 880g, and slicing some package tape, but that would be a dick move targeting one individual to blame....

As for a FTID, i aint going anywhere near that shit, (and would higly discourage anyone else from using this flawed method)......

Tbh, i just really cant think of any flawless method of approach.
What would be the wisest move? Any advice much appreciated ;-)

@mothered hate pinging you, but youre probably the most competent, SE'er ive seen.

Way too heavy to partial It.

An Investigation will deem the Item was enclosed In the package as It was travelling through the carrier's network.

Under the circumstances, It's obviously out of the question.

Disregard It.

Zalando Is well aware that It's extremely unlikely, If not Impossible, to dispatch a used pair of shoes.

It's not refunded on tracking.

The return must be received and when It checks out, the refund will be processed.

Use the wrong Item received method.

In future, be sure to research the company and method before formulating the SE.

Thank you very much for the reply!

How similar would the shoes have to be?
Same brand? Same color? Indistinguishable from a 10m radius?
Like, how much can the shoes deviate from one another?

But you are absolutely correct, should have planned further ahead before placing the order :-/

In terms of the wrong Item received method, you'd purchase It from Zalando on a different account and sent to another address.

When they request the return, send that and when they scan It, It'll come up as part of their Inventory, hence they'd believe they've dispatched an Incorrect Item.
