Zalando investigation #1
Hey guys, recently I've stumbled upon Zalando and the fact that they're so easy to do using the partial method. However, when I recently tried this method they prolonged giving me the refund until I received this email today.
" Hi Ismail,

We are currently investigating the matter of your missing articles.

To get this sorted, we will also need a copy of your valid photo ID.

Please note that the information provided will be used to further investigate this with our warehouse. If needed, your statement and ID could serve as the basis for a police report.

Thanks for your help in getting this looked into. If you need any help with this at all then please let me know."
Bare in mind I always use different gmails and PPs and try to leave some time in between using the same address, I don't why they're sending me this. The order was for around £170. Anyone had this in the UK before? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Every SE Is based on It's merit, so In your case, something triggered the need for an Investigation.

What was the total weight of the missing Items?

They've certainly stepped-up their claims management.

I'm very Interested In the nature of the OP's missing Items, and whether It was that which most likely triggered the Investigation.

It was just some items of clothing nothing that would be a huge problem but im unsure as to what's going to happen. I will send the id and keep you updated. They said on the phone this morning they need the id to confirm if the claim or request actually came from myself. As far as I'm aware I covered my tracks on this one so it should be fine God willing.

As you're aware, the weight Is of the utmost Importance when using the missing Item method.

If It was significant and they cross-checked the consignment with the carrier, It may well be the cause of the Investigation.

Yeah, it would have definitely registered as a significant amount missing, however, they didn't really care until recently. They would give out refunds willy nilly. But with this recent change, this is probably their new protocol I guess.
