Zalando DNA SE 03-19-2022, 05:31 PM

I tried to DNA Zalando for some clothes, they had a picture of the box infront of my door open but i wasnt in the picture so I told them I wasnt present at the time and the parcel was simply dropped off without me being there.
Now they’re asking for lost items/ police report filled out, they called it a “Legal Statement” which im not sure what it really precisely means. But for the first time ever, they’re also asking for ID proof alongside the report which seems extremely fishy to me. I think I should just leave it as soon as proof of ID is involved, I understand police report is part of the procedure but im not sure why ID is. They also stated in the email:
“Please note that the information provided will be used to further investigate this with the courier. If needed, your statement and ID could serve as the basis for a police report. ”
Any opinions and help?
