Actually, EVRI don't weigh the parcels, that's why it's not weighted. When you take Yodel or Evri returns to the parcelshop, you just hand it over and thats it. Unlike the post office where they weigh the package and record the weight internally and on the receipt.
Hey, so if the post office record the weight internally, do you know if it's possible then that a retailer can contact them to verify this? I was wondering because I edited the weight on a PO receipt and the retailer rejected my claim and closed my account basically stating that I had photoshopped the receipt I emailed over to them and I don't know how they could have proved this. Cheers for info!
Yeah, retailers do this often, when an investigation is initiated. They forward your proof of postage to their Royal Mail area/account manager and RM then can see, based on the info such as the session ID, tracking no., etc and know if the receipt was manipulated or not. This is a screen shot of a Royal Mail investigation with Surfdome (this isn't my email; someone on Telegram had it as they attempted FTID with Surfdome)

Okay good to know - had no idea that this was possible given the amount of parcels that go through RM. I guess the retailer will use this info to defend the S27/ chargeback claim which I'm looking at raising. The item was LIT but the address was still the correct one for the retailer, so I guess the retailer will use the weight discrepancy as a means of challenging it so looks as though I have a bit of a problem.. any suggestions as to how I can counterclaim this before the retailer have their say on this would be most welcome!
