Xiaomi Ban Blocked by Federal Judge #1
While Huawei was known for some shadier practices, multiple Chinese firms have been threatened with bans in the USA.

Quote:A federal judge has blocked the US Department of Defense from placing restrictions on Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi that were set to take effect next week.

Just before former President Trump left office in January, the DoD designated Xiaomi as a “Chinese Communist military company,” (CCMC) making it subject to Trump’s executive order banning the US from investing in such companies. But late Friday, U.S. District Judge Rudolph Contreras issued a preliminary injunction to prevent what he called “irreparable harm” to Xiaomi, saying the designation was “arbitrary and capricious.”

Xiaomi said in court filings it would suffer “extreme and irreversible damage” to its business and reputation if the restrictions took effect, and has maintained it operates “in compliance with the relevant laws and regulations of jurisdictions where it conducts its businesses.” A company spokesperson told The Verge in January that Xiaomi “is not owned, controlled or affiliated with the Chinese military, and is not a ‘Communist Chinese Military Company.’”

Why were they designated a CCMC in the first place? Also, if one judge can block it, could that happen again in future?

I'm not saying I support them being banned. In fact, someone was strongly recommending their phones to me recently.

but this is true virus is found in china . this is not possible that cornona developed in usa , etc country and only get transmitted in china wuhan.

This is clear that virus origin or virus found first in china so people should investigate . this virus was also infecting big cats . naturally is not possible. china know something but dont let us know but how long they will hide.

I do believe the virus started it's transmission to humans in China. However, of course it's possible for a virus to infect humans and cats. I would recommend checking other written evidence before believing this woman. She says little towards evidence or proof to support what she claims. This is true of many "scientists" online at the moment. The virus isn't synthetic, that much global scientists are pretty certain of. This doesn't mean that people working in Wuhan aren't to blame. And it doesn't mean China isn't hiding things. I just don't think this woman's claims are accurate/true.

I was under the impression they were expecting to break into the US market. So while it may not initially impact their sales, it would literally prevent them from growing in a western market. It also means that investors are likely to pull out if they're banned from the US. In which case, irreparable damage incoming...
