I had numerous occasions when LPN-codes were used for new items sold by Amazon and also Amazon Warehouse Deals items.

When you order a "new" item and you get an item with an LPN code, it is a returned product, but it has no damages etc, so it is sold as new.

It may well happen, but I've yet to experience It under the said circumstances.
