Working remotely 09-12-2016, 08:48 PM

Hello, i'm new to this forum, so i apologize if i'm breaking any rule and for any grammatical mistakes, my native language isn't english.
For personal reasons i'm unable to work on-site, so i want to start a remote career. Can any of you give me advices on how to do that? I have plenty of time to study any language or framework, so that isn't a problem. Right now i'm re-educating myself through https://github.com/open-source-society/computer-science, since my "official" education was quite poor, and contributing to an open source C project, so i can have something to show as a portfolio on my github account.
