Hi I've recently upgrade my ram from 2 GB to 6 GB, but windows 7 is still detecting at System Info just 2.00 GB usually it was 2.00(1.75 usable).So how can i make windows detect my 4gb ram stick and use it?I have googled this a lot and already tried MSconfig and i also read that some moatherboards do not allow more than 2gb ram, but i dont know very much about my moather board. Some details:
Moaterboard: Asrock G41M VS3
RAM USED : Kingston
TOTAL RAM/TOTAL RAM DYSPLAYED:6.00/2.00
OS:Windows 7 ultimate x64
So if some one can help me with this will be awesome.

Does your motherboard support Kingston ram sticks?

You should Google this problem. It should work, unless it isn't compatible.

Max is 8gb for your motherboard. So i would say that you need to check the bios. I know that i had to change some stuff there to get mine to work.

Ok, i never updated BIos so if you can tell me exactly what to change will be perfect ! xD

Okay well i would download the bios driver from there website. use the link i poster and get the driver. Now put it on a flash drive. you might have to use a 2gb one and format it to fat 6. thats what i had to do for my laptop. Then just restart your pc and tell it to boot off the flash drive and have it install the update. You might have to do it differently based on your pc. But they should tell you how to flash the bios.

Your motherboard will support 8GB, and has 2 DDR3 memory slots to be used. What Kingston RAM did you buy? "Kingston" is not at all very descriptive.

I bought Kingston 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM HyperX Blu

@shizelkid, I've updated Instant Flash, and now looked into my bios, it just dont detect my 2nd stick, detect just 1st one, I;ve tred to swap them.. but nothing.

I think i found the problem, if im not wrong my moather board dont support 1600mHz, my stick is 1600

But then, which is compatible with my moatherboard : Kingston 4GB, DDR3, 1333MHz, Non-ECC or Kingmax 4GB, DDR3, 1333MHz, PC10600 (both are 1600mHz)
