Why's There No Linux Mint Love Here?

I've been using it for a long ass time on my desktop. I'm using a shit laptop atm because my desktop needs some repairs. Anyways I tried to install it on USB like I did for my dektop yesterday, and the fucker just completely freezes after like 50 seconds. Anyways, why don't I hear much of Cinnamon Linux Mint around for the light user who uses it maybe once a week like I, It's very similar to Windows in the GUI.

Because Cinnamon is quite heavy compared to the Mate and XFCE variants of Linux Mint. Mate variant is considered the face of Linux Mint by most.

I like cinamon. However I dont like Mint's dev. Hes a spoiled child who doesnt want anyone who has different political views other than his own using his software.

Made a huge anti-isreal rant on his blog a few years back and handed out bans on his forum when his post blew up in his face.

That's a poor reason to dislike someone's functional project. That's equivalent to me saying that I don't respect you as staff because you like anime. Fortunately for me, I don't respect you as a person based on your posts which represent your views.

Tried mint... it just felt kind of clunky compared to pure debian or arch without all the nonsense installed, However for a beginner linux user, it does have a very easy to navigate interface.

It's alright. There's better distros out there, in my opinion.

If a project is managed by an intolerant child and that bothers you, then it's fine to not want to collaborate or use their OS. Lefebrve (developer) has gone on the record several times, saying that he doesn't want people to use Mint if they support our government's or Israel's actions. When I pick a Linux flavor, the developer's opinion on politics (much less Israel) shouldn't be relevant.
