Why do people believe in God?

I think that we made up God so that way when we needex motivation or someone to be by us, we could think of this God so that way we could make it through rough times.

I think god gives people something to hope for to be honest, The thought of a higher power drives people to goals and things in life they would not have done without it

People created god so they could have power over people.

I personally HATE religion, all it has done for the world is cause wars.

They want to have something to put faith in. Someone to always be there for them, in sickness and in health. They want someone to answer for everything that happens and be able to blame everything on someone.

I believe in God because i was raised in a household that also believed that God existed.
So basically i was taught to believe that.
