That will depend on your bios if it's already set to boot from CD/USB over the hard drive you shouldn't have to press anything. Otherwise look at the bottom of the screen during post for something along the lines of boot device and spam that for the menu

It's time to boot Linux :troll: I will be back to tell you how it went!

[chmod]

That's part of the excitement, dive into the unknown and learn what you can from the experience I would recommend everyone to at least try it after all it can be booted from a DVD/USB and is free there is literally nothing to loose, if you don't like it just eject the media and reboot back into Microshit Winblows :troll:

I have to say, I would boot Linux on my computer, but half of the screen is cracked so when I reboot, I don't know the button to press to boot it up.

"Microshit Winblows " Your just jealous :troll:

I run linux as my main OS by choice, I have a windows 7 machine that gets booted about once every 4-6 months.

Finally protip: If your screen is that bad maybe you should replace it lol

Saying that do you know the bootup button for LinuxMint 17? I already have it on my usb all it needs now is to just to be booted.

I would but fuck paying £90 for a new screen

I don't really know Linux well, but I think Windows is better.

Also, I posted the thread you told me to PM you but I can't @BlueCat just look at my recent.

How can you make a fair comparison of something if you don't know anything about it?

Gr windows booted up nothing appeared at the bottom of the screen also.....

Windows is easy to use, Linux looks very complicated from what I've seen, I don't know.

You must have missed it its pretty fast most of the time especially if you are running an ssd or it might be in one of the corners depends on the bios so unfortunately I can't really help beyond that.

I wouldn't call it difficult, it's different but that's about it. The same way that Windows would be "difficult" for someone who has used Linux/OSX their entire life.

Aw, I guess me and Linux are not meant to be, Back to wonderful windows :troll:

Also, gaming is much limited because some games don't use Linux. < A lot of them don't use Linux, a lot of good games.
