How the fuck do you figure I was spamming the forums?? 16 posts that were primarily well thought out and applicable to the topics over the period of many hours.

The moderator MiS has said he has looked over my posts and can find no reason for a ban so how the fuck have you come to the conclusion that I was spamming?? Are you just posting for the sake of getting your nose in where it doesn't belong??

Someone was trying to sell credit card accounts and s/he tagged a bunch of the mods.

I suggested that s/he use the Report function so that all the mods online get a notice immediately even if they dont check their alerts immediately and then a short while later I attempt to respond to another thread and found myself banned presumably for the reason "Illegal".

However the original poster of those spammy illegal threads (hot.bin) still has an active account.

It seems something happened to Fury's account in the same time frame though so I don't know whats going on.

Don't get aggressive towards me, I have done nothing towards you. I am merely stating what I saw with my eyes yesterday morning. And this is an open discussion. If you wanted to discuss this in private, you should have messaged a staff member, not make a thread about it.

Then I'd really like to know what you/this forum considers spam because it seems completely unreasonable to me.

Posting multiple times without any cool-down.

Yep, it's confirmed. I know who you are @2460h1, and you know who I am.
I saw your screenshot that you shared earlier, that is bullshit. I'm not impressed so far.

Do you even know who banned you?

What if they're genuinely solid, HQ, decent posts?

Thats the dumbest definition of spam I have ever heard.

MyBB has a built in function to prevent someone from posting more than once in x number of seconds. If members are not allowed to post more than once every say 5 minutes, or respond to more than one thread in a row - there should be something in the rules if not enabling the flood throttling in the admin cp.

Suggesting that permabanning for merely responding to multiple threads in a row is reasonable is fucking absurd imo.

Now you are just acting like a child. Your point is still not proven, even with the post prevention. You can wait "x" amount of minutes/seconds and then post again.

No I don't know who banned me - or why still.

And while my posts may not all be what *I* consider *HQ* - They were all thought out and relevant to the topic save for 1 where I asked Equinox if he knew something - as I knew someone by the handle Equinox on IRC back about 7 years ago. Its not like I was spamming short lq "thanks" or "nice tut" like people do. I was writing fucking paragraphs in some of those responses.

RE: Why??? #19
It's also against the rules to make a second account after you're banned.. (bypassing bans)
Just FYI.

Proven? Whats to prove? The statement I am making is that merely posting more than once in a row?? is not a reasonable definition of spam.

When I log on to a forum I load the most recent posts and start responding to topics. I have no intention of waiting 20 minutes between each response merely so I don't post consecutively. Do you not see how absurd that sounds?? I've got shit to do. I visit forums and post when I feel like taking a break from whatever it is I'm doing. Spending 2 hours here so I can make 5 responses without *spamming* (according to your definition) is ridiculous and do I'll do it in the time it actually takes to submit the response I want.

And I really fucking doubt any other member here is saying to themselves - hold up, I've made 2 responses in the last 5 minutes, I'd better take a 20 minute break so I don't spam.

Just FYI.

Seems like a Catch-22 - Get banned for some absurd (no??) fucking reason and then get banned for multi-accounting which appears to be the only reasonable method of communicating with the staff? Make it a little easier to contact staff after a ban and maybe I wouldn't have resorted to creating a second account.
