Having lived in a tropical climate all my life, it's really unbearable at times. All the winter-y countries I've vacationed to have much more pleasant weather/seasons (eg. Japan in winter, US in winter). You can bundle up if it's chilly, and you feel nice and toasty, but It's so much harder to stay cool when its blazing hot outside. You can turn on the air-conditioner, which is pretty costly, but once you leave the house, you can't really stay cool, feels like you're just hopping from air-conditioned place to air-conditioned place, to find sanctuary.
