We've heard a lot of stories about planes in the last few years. Yet another has surfaced.
What do you think really happened to it?

EgyptAir has retracted its claim to have found debris belonging to flight MS804.

“We stand corrected,” Airline vice-president Ahmed Adel has told CNN. The wreckage “is not our aircraft”.

The retraction now puts EgyptAir in line with Greek officials, who had earlier cast doubt on the claim by Egyptian authorities. Neither the airline nor Egypt’s foreign ministry have yet made a public statement.

I went through the story of the Airlines uptime, and their Security must be the problem.

I think that all together in that Airlines exiting time, 600+/- has died. 90 precent of them is caused by terrorists which is why it gets me thinking that it has happened again.

The People on that plane is dead for sure.. But maybe this case will turn out as the Malaysian Airlines case?

Probably so.

If the Investigation and crash analysis experts cannot find anything conclusive, then It's somewhat Impossible for anyone outside the Investigation team to comment on the probability of the cause.

As with everything of this nature, time will tell.

This is why I am afraid of flying, I prefer the ocean instead because if shit goes sideways I can always jump and swim to safety or catch a lifeboat, whereas in the sky you are completed fooked.

I can't care about this and that might sound insensitive but hear me out. The media and the officials don't know very much so it could be anything from Egypt doing it themselves for any number of reasons to terrorism to aliens, who the fuck knows. All that matters is that it happened, yet again, and something needs to be done to ensure it doesn't happen or we are better informed quicker the next time it does happen. What happened was tragic but we as a planet, haven't really implemented anything to make sure it doesn't happen again and that is the tragedy.

To be honest, I also think it's terrorism. It's the most likely cause.

I'm due to get on a plane next week and I'm not any more afraid than normal. I'm much more likely to get hurt/killed in car.

A lot of people fight over their religion. Even people in the same religious system disagree with it's interpretation. I don't blame religion itself... I blame the inability to accept that someone might be different from you. I was brought up to "Tolerate" people's beliefs that are different from mine. I don't just tolerate, I respect and often like to learn about it. As a species we don't appear to be good at sharing... So when people who have differences share the same region of land... Tensions occur. It's self-destructive and crazy.

I don't think its terrorism at all. Everyone is jumping to accuse people with little to no evidance. I think this was a hardware failure on the plane and thats what took it down. Also no terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the crash compared that to thea quick claim by Isis after a Russian plane exploded over Egypt in November. I think something happened suddnely and the pilots tried to get the plane undercontrole and did not have a chance to get back in touch with airtraffic control.

A terrorsit group wants and needs to be feared. They would have already said "we did it"
