Small world—I was a 25B too. I did six years, spent most of my time stationed in Germany, and got out in 2013.

Lot of veterans here, is it common to join the military where you're from? What made you enroll? Was it patriotism, job security, or something else?

I'm a multitasker, and one of the things I do is sell online subscriptions and related products.

It was already in my family to serve, my grandfather was E-6 and my father's brothers (4 of them) also had served. My father didn't serve so I decided to pick up the ball and do it.

I joined simply because I graduated high school and my family did not have enough money to put me through college, I also wanted to get out of my state and do something new and experience a different side of life, So I joined the Army, and I dont regret it. It basically shaped who I am today.

Im so glad you decided to serve. Yes basic sucks but it's okay. It's the most fun you'll never want to have again. AIT is better but sucks too lol, and first duty station is kinda cool if you had friends there or a battle buddy. I served between 2021 and 2026.

The VA loan has to be my number one reason for going. It's still a loan and there's always FHA loan but just having an additional option just makes me life so much more easier and secure
