I am very new to hacking and have been all over google/forums/ebooks trying to learn how to become a good hacker, but I do not have much patience... I would love it if someone could post major PRIORITY skills/knowledge that I need in order to begin hacking, or maybe pm me if you are experienced and would like to answer tons of questions! Thank you!

Use nmap friend... Or use wht is compatible with your skill

You can use Nessus, it's one of the best vulnerability scanners. Not so long ago someone put tutorial how to set it up. You should go check it out.
