You can't learn to socialize by reading books, just as you cannot learn to swim on dry land. You learn to socialize by physically communicating with other people, just as you learn to swim by jumping into the lake.

Yes and no.

Book is what gives you info. Info is knowledge. You can then use that knowledge on people to get your end result and see if it worked or not.

I’m pretty sure being physically fit on dry land will make it easy for you to learn to “swim better” faster.

After all, nothing is better than some effort.

Coming to the OP, I don’t have any recommendations. Sorry!

You're welcome.

Also keep in mind that you can practice your skills online on sites like Omegle or other random stranger chat sites. Best of course would be to practice on strangers IRL or on close relatives if they don't mind. First get some information from the eBooks (you can also take a look at my Social Manipulation eBooks thread) which has some useful information as well.

After that it's all about practicing your skill.
~~ Might be back? ~~

This ^^

It's good to perform quite a few practice runs, targeting all types of organizations, either by phone or chat. Identify the questions asked, terminology used and how they expect to be answered. This will prepare you for the real SE attack, thereby you can formulate your method accordingly.

What you'll need to do for sure is brush up on the skill. A lot of the stuff @mothered recommended will get you far, but nothing as far as actually practicing. Whether that is practicing on friends and acquaintances, or by calling up people to try to get some experience in, give it a shot. The worst that happens is you end up in jail. No big deal.

(As long as you don't do anything blatantly illegal you won't end up in jail. Even if you do as long as you're not stupid you won't end up in jail.)
