How can i use proxy to browse internet?

What i've done is setting proxy in LAN settings, but when i use browse internet, it still uses my old IP.

Why it doesn't work or is this even correct way to do it? Thanks.

Why not simply use a VPN?

Alternatively, you can use a browser named "Epic Browser",  which has It's own built-In proxy.

You can also navigate via the private search engine named "MetaGer", whereby you can open links anonymously, thus all sites will be loaded using a proxy.

I may be incorrect, but a VPN might be more beneficial if you'd like to use multiple applications.

Ummm, i think you didn't understand me... I'm coding application that needs to change system's proxy settings
