[Urgent] SE took unexpected turn.... #1
Hey guys, I tried to SE Ultraboosts from Amazon, I specifically said in the delivery instructions to leave them on my front door of my apt but they were just delivered to our community parcel lockers. I was planning on doing a DNA, but that won't work anymore right? Won't Amazon know it was left in a secure locker? I haven't picked them up yet because I'm not sure how to move forward, would a DNA still work? Should I just return them normally and wait and try again?

I'd appreciate any advice/suggestions

EDIT: I went ahead and picked them up, I opened them to see that the bottoms were a tad dirty, didn't really like the style seeing it in person, so i decided to just do a regular return. Will probably try again at a different location bc it seems that even though I said to drop it off at my front door, they went ahead and left it at the parcel locker.

If you leave them too long in lockers, they will get returned, I suggest either waiting for this, or returning them manually then trying again.

Alternatively, use the "wrong Item received" method.

Would I still be able to get a refund rather than a replacement using this method? Also would I just stuff something random in the box (like an old pair of shoes)?

Some alternatives:
- Purchased :XXX: colorway but I received an entirely different one than what was ordered
- When I opened the box there was a very potent scent of mildew (they were delivered inside + the shipping says it (going off of what you mentioned)) & it made me gag but there wasn't any moisture in the box.

With 1 you could potentially ship the box back empty. With 2 you'll potentially get a replacement since you can provide POP & pictures but they can't determine scent. Could get lucky with #2 & get 2 pairs for free.

Just some ideas.

The colorway route is a good idea since it's a popular shoe with lots of color options, but if I sent it back empty, wouldn't they open at a warehouse and see that it's empty? Couldn't they retroactively charge me for sending back an empty box?

I looked over the part where you did it to your own home. Well, its possible but I wouldn't really know. Times I've done Amazon were usually Dbl dips to my home, the only thing that happened was my account getting flagged.

It's a 50/50 chance but I still don't think Amazon checks the boxes you send until waaaay after everything is settled.

@relaxed state has explained It pretty well.

With the wrong Item, be sure It's a "stock" Item (part of their Inventory), and weighs roughly the same. This gives the Impression that their warehouse packed the Incorrect Item. They "do" predominantly check their packages on return, hence It's Imperative to be selective with the wrong Item.

I just thought of something, the delivery notice on Amazon just says "Left in mailroom", could I just say it was DNA since nobody actually came in contact with it? Or would they contact the driver?

If It was left In the mail room with no authorizing signature nor any form of proof of delivery, you can certainly use the DNA method.

In terms of contacting the driver, It's simply his word that's not based on any evidence of delivery.
